The detail
ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) is the patient-facing health ID under ABDM. In SamLab it is captured against the patient so their lab history carries the identifier. This is identifier capture and linkage — it is not a claim that the lab is enrolled in every ABDM workflow.
How it is set up

Can SamLab create an ABHA for a patient?+
No. Creation is done through official ABDM channels. SamLab captures and links an existing ABHA.
Is the ABHA number stored on my own machine?+
Yes — in the lab’s local database like the rest of the patient record. If cloud sync is on, it syncs with the record; if it is off, it never leaves the PC.
Do I have to use it?+
No. It is an optional field. Labs not participating in ABDM leave it blank and nothing changes.
